ICS Blog Hop #‎imbringingbirthdaysback‬

Wednesday, April 6, 2016

Hello!  It's ICS blog hop time!  Our theme is #iambringingbackbirthdays inspired by Shannon West one of the trainer's at Stampin' Up! She posted on her facebook page in January that  social media had ruined the good old fashioned birthday card and she was bringing them back this year!  One of her posts said if you wanted a birthday card to let her know, I did and I got a card last month from her.  SO KEWL!

Shannon also carved out a stamp to use on her cards.  Well let me tell you the idea really caught on-betting the post office is lovin' her!  Stampin' Up! took that carved stamp and made one we could all have too!

I wanted to join the fun but I knew I could not commit or follow through on a facebook post so I decided to do my own version of #iambringingbackbirthdays!

My version is blessing people at various places I frequent:  my exercise teachers and students, the coordinators at the Senior center I teach a class with, co-workers, all my family, neighbors,  friends, my downline, my uplines, volunteers I work with at the food bank and my customers!  In addition the Flying Stamper's will be supporting the childrerns birthday bags at the Orting Foodbank with Birthday cards!   I've set up a file box with the names and addresses to make it easier to track and I've been stampin' birthday cards like a fool!

This is also a sneak peak, if your attending my upcoming Flying Stamper's Spring retreat you'll be thrilled to learn that this is my shoebox swap for the event!

So now you know a little more about the theme this month, here is my project:

I like to decorate my envelopes when time permits so here is the back and front of the envelope:
Here is Shannon's inspired stamp:

So cute!  You can purchase the stamp for $12.00! If you don't have a demonstrator contact me to order one or order online HERE

I used the Rose Garden thinlits and coordinating stamp set and whisper white card stock for the thinlit.  I sponged the leaves with mossy meadow and the rose with tangelo twist.  The Rose Garden thinlits are on the weekly deals this week and don't forget the 2014-2016 in-colors will be retiring soon so if you need reinkers or cardstock don't delay order them soon. The retiring list will be out in a few weeks but often the reinkers and card stock sell out prior to the list being released!

If you don't have a demonstrator and live in my area I am doing a class later this month with this theme #iambringingbackbirthday!  At this time there is 1 seat open on Saturday 4/23 at 10:00am.  Class is $20 and includes pretty petals DSP pack, some used in class but you'll take lots home to play with.  Call/text/pm/write me if you'd like this last seat!

Okay I've talked way more then I should have so please continue on the hop, go check out one of my good friend & downline Tammy's project!
