Number Of Years

Today is my grandson's 13th birthday!  So hard to believe this cute little thing is turning 13 today!  Where did the time go anyways?  I was so blessed to be able to arrive in time for his birth, he was born in Homer, Alaska and at the time I was living in North Idaho.  My husband and I jumped on a plane and made it up in time for his arrival.

I thought I'd share his birthday gift/card/packaging with you today.  A few weeks ago I asked what he would like and he said $$$ please!  Oh man I hate that...no fun shopping, but I get why he would want $$$ and it does teach him to budget and save up for things from his wish list!  I decided though I wanted to do something clever this year with the money....I was thinking folding or something but I ran across these at store last month and I thought...now he'll think those are really funny!

It's nice that they fit quite well in our Kraft Tag A Bag Gift Bags! These little bags are really quite handy!

I made a little gift card envelope with my envelope punch board for the inside of the card and tucked the $$$ in it!  So even though he is getting what he wanted I still had a lot of fun with this gift!

Love using the washi tape to close the envelope up, it easily lifts up to open in it! Guess what your going to make a gift card envelope next week in What to Washi class!

I used the Number of years stamp set and framelits and emerald envy ink and the coordinating dsp.  You can find all of these products on my website, CLICK HERE to find them.

Okay now you probably want to see what the 13 year old looks like now right? This photo was taken last month, he is now taller then me!

These projects fit the SUO Challenge #161-Celebrations of all kinds, so I entered my posted into that too.  You can see all those ideas by CLICKING HERE.  Enjoy and come back soon to visit,

Wow, what a fabulous way to decorate your grandson's gift! I am sure he will get a kick out of the "Boogers" :-) and be appreciative of the packaging as well as the $$. Sounds like you are a fun grandmother and I know that these are memories that he will cherish forever :-) Hugs and thanks for playing along with us at SUO Challenges!
