ICS Blog Hop Knotty Ways

Wednesday, August 2, 2017

Yeah it's the 1st Wednesday of the month and you know what that means right?  Inspire, Create, and Share Blog Hop!  Our theme this month is Knotty Ways showcasing Christmas ideas.  There is a great special going on this month to get all of us in the mood to start early on our Christmas projects so we thought we'd provide you with some inspiration using ribbon for Christmas projects!  I posted yesterday on my blog about the pre-order option for the Carols of Christmas stamp set, I think it's going to be a great set!  You can see the flyer at the bottom of my post.

So for my project I decided to use the oldest stamp set I have in my inventory, Lovely As A Tree, I know many of you also own this set, it's great for so many different occasions!  Here is a great idea using masking, sponging and a little easy knot:

So my color scheme for this project is Tranquil Tide, Real Red and Very Vanilla!  I was a bit surprised that Tranquil Tide is very "Christmassy" when paired with Real Red!

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Lovely As A Tree and Teeny Tiny Words
Ink:  Tranquil Tide
Cardstock:  Tranquil Tide, Real Red, Very Vanilla
Misc:  Tranquil Tide 1/2 inch finely woven ribbon, classic label punch, stampin' sponge and a post it sticky note for the masking.

Tranquil Tide is one of the new in colors and I am pleased to announce I'll be doing my annual In-Color class late September, if your in my customer base and live in the area you'll get an evite for the event later this month.  I will also be doing my in-color ribbon share at that same time so you can get the ribbon to coordinate with you new inks/cardstock.

Now hop on over to my good pal Sharon and see what gorgeous creation she has to share with you, enjoy the hop!
