Cookie Cutter Christmas

Monday, October 17, 2016

Got a few more Christmas cards made over the week-end, yeah it's October and I am probably about 1/2 finished with my Christmas cards...if I can just keep at it maybe December will be less stress for me!  This card is traditional Christmas colors which usually is not my deal but I thought it turned out kinda cute.  It also showcases the new embossing folder Holly!

I have been really busy playing with the Candy Cane Lane DSP and will be soon doing a big showing of what I've made with it.  It's a super fun and easy DSP to use.

Speaking of which Candy Cane Lane classes are right around the corner....did you get a seat reserved for it? If not I still have two seats open for Fri 10/28 at 6:30pm, first come/first served.  Class is $25.00  and includes a pack of the Candy Cane Lane DSP.  We'll be making 6 projects....4 cards and 2 giftables including the annual calender I always offer!  We're going to be so organized and ahead of the game this year with our hand made gifts!  I can't wait for you to see the cards...I know this is a Christmas DSP but we're going to be making a man card and a fall card with it too!  FUN!

Have a great week!

Stamper's Retreat

Thursday, October 13, 2016

Each year my downline Tina and I host a Stamper's Week End Retreat, we have a stampin' and scrappin' good time!  I thought I'd share some of the highlights of the events from last week-end with you.

At each event we try and do some type of a community service project, this year we made Get Well cards to be donated to the Sumner Senior Center.  A fellow retreater Teddie donated the card bases and envelopes for this years project.  We used the past Paper Pumpkin stamp set Cup of Cheer to create them, SUPER

My friend Diana always does a page from the focus this year for my personal projects was Christmas cards and Thank You cards!  I made 27 Thank You Cards and 33 Christmas Cards.  I got a few other things done as well...very happy with what I accomplished since I was also co-coordinating the event and had other responsibilities!
Here is one of the Christmas card I made!  The red DSP background paper was a scrap piece I found in the give away box we always have stuff that we don't need, one mans junk is anothers treasure right?  LOL!

Friday is my monthly card class for my lovely Senior Ladies at the Sumner Senior Center.  Love my group of ladies, last I checked we still had 2 seats open so if your 55 or better and interested in joining us please call the Senior Center and get yourself a seat!  Melissa at  253-863-2910  Bring a glue stick or adhesive and $5.00, we'll be making 3 fallish cards...everything is provided except glue!  Here is one of the projects we'll be making this month:

The Sumner Senior Center is in need of Get Well and Thinking of you cards, so at this session we'll be creating an extra of this card to donate for their needs.  You'll create two of them one for you to take home and one to donate.  If you prefer to have a Halloween or Thanksgiving card I'll have that option for you as well!  Here they are:

Thanksgiving Option:
I have to share with you that I hadn't planned to get the cookie-cutter halloween stamp set but I ended up falling in love with the Mummy and the Scarecrow and couldn't resist it.  I've had a lot of fun playing with it for classes, if your attending the upcoming Candy Cane Lane DSP class you'll get to play with it again too!  FUN!
 Have a wonderful day,

Halloween Treat Bag

Tuesday, October 11, 2016

Halloween is around the corner and while I am not a huge fan of it I do like to make little treats and things for my grandchildren to enjoy!  My daughter isn't a fan of them eating a ton of sugar and so I have to be pretty creative with my two grandson's treats!  I made this cute treat bag at a recent demonstrator event and I am filing it with a granola bar (organic and low sugar) and some stickers and a halloween pencil!  Should meet the Mom approval!  LOL!
