Lemon Zest Bundle

Wednesday, September 20, 2017

So did you happen to notice the Lemon Zest bundle in the annual catalog?  I am a huge juicer and we always have lemon or lime or both in our juice....so the bundle caught my eye right away BUT I wasn't 100% sure I would use it...however I am such a punch junkie it made it into my shopping cart early summer but I never got a chance to use it till earlier this month when I was designing a card for the up coming in-color class.

Mr. Flying Stamper and I went on a short little vacation last week to visit my sister and her husband, here we are:

One of the things I love about visiting her is the fresh lemons and limes I can get my hands on...as in I picked these off the tree the morning we left at her neighbor's house!  These are Meyer's lemons.  OMG so good friends!
Of course I had to send her kind neighbor a thank you note and well what better stamp set to use right?
Here is the envelope!

Also I wanted to let you know I drew a name for the blog comment drawing I posted on my 9/1 post...and the winner is Tina Linehan.  Come on down girlfriend.  Tina has won herself some Little Foxy DSP.  I'll post another fun contest or event soon....I still have lots of things to give away this year!

If you need anything feel free to order online the September Hostess code is:  6CBCRFFU, add this to your order if it's UNDER $150.00 and I'll mail you a sheet of dimensionals with your thank you card!  CLICK HERE to place your order.  THANK YOU!

Have a wonderfully inky day,

Stamper's Poem!

Monday, September 18, 2017

I thought I would share a cute Stamper's Poem with you today!  Enjoy and have a wonderful week!
She learned to stamp on Monday
Her embossing was quite fine.
She forgot to set out dinner,
So we went out to dine.
She brayered backgrounds Tuesday
She says they are a must.
They really are quite lovely
But she forgot to dust.
On Wednesday it was birthday cards
She says that chalking's fun.
Shading, blending and watercoloring...
But the laundry wasn't done.
Her card swap was on Thursday
Using green and blue and red;
I guess she really was engrossed,
She never made the bed!
It was shaker cards on Friday
Using techniques she just adores,
But she never seemed to notice
The crumbs on all the floors.
I found a maid on Saturday!
My week is now complete
My wife can stamp the hours away;
The house will still be neat.
Well, it's already Sunday,
And my forehead's feeling damp.
I cursed, I raved and I ranted....
The MAID has learned to stamp!

Please be sure to give you maid my name for their ordering needs!  LOL!

Happy Sunday Stampers!  Just a quick little post today to share my Dad's birthday card with you!  His birthday is actually 9/21 but he is going to visit my sister this year for it so we're having the party today!

He is a retired Airline pilot so I like to make him airplane cards!  This one was created using the retired stamp set Sky is The Limit!  Colors are Island Indigo and whisper white and Open Seas DSP (also retired!).

Have a great day!

Card from Shelli and Sara

Friday, September 15, 2017

Isn't this a cute little note of cheer?  I received this from Shelli Gardner Co-Founder Stampin' Up!  and Sara Douglass, Stampin' Up! CEO!  They sent it to tell me they missed me on the Thailand trip and that they hoped my husband's recovery was going well.  I thought that was so kind!  It's a simple little card but the gold glimmer makes it a "WOW" card!

Don't you just love it when you come to the mailbox and find HAPPY mail?  I do!  Have a wonderful day and week-end!

Flourshing Phrases

Thursday, September 14, 2017

Sadly about 2 weeks ago I used up my last two sympathy cards from my card box.  YIKES...this is one card I truly dislike making when I need one so I generally try and make up about 6 at a time.  I had some little black and white strips of scrap so you know me all about using up those scraps the black and white beauty was born!

If you happened to stop by and say "hi" at the fair earlier in the month this is one of the cards I was making there.  Simple but beautiful!

I was talking to someone while I was making this card and not paying good attention and ended up stamping it on the wrong end....the gal and I got a good laugh and then I figured out I could just re-arrange the layout a bit and still have a decent card!  Heck some of my stampin' boo-boo's end up being very awesome embellishment opportunities!

The cards showcase the beautiful Flourishing Phrases stamp set, colors are basic black and whisper white, the DSP is retired and I used that cute little leaf punch from the Holiday catalog.
 Have a really awesome day!

Tuesday, September 12, 2017

I thought I would share a little sneak peak today for the upcoming In-Color Class the end of this month! I used the This Little Piggy Stamp set, so fun!

My color scheme is basic black, powder pink and very vanilla.  This card makes me smile!  How about you?

Such a cute stamp set:

Looking forward to seeing many of you at the upcoming class, I do still have 1 seat open on Saturday 9/30 at 10:00am, it's $33 and that includes all supplies and all 5 of the 2017-2019 in color ink pads.....basically the class is free because that is the exact cost of the pads.   Contact me for a seat!

Have a great week!
