Daisy Delight Birthday Celebration Continues!

Tuesday, July 18, 2017

So here is the cake (pie) I made for my daughter's 40th birthday, it was so YUM!  I will post the link to the recipe for you below the photo, it's a raw pie and super healthy!  We picked the blueberries too!

We celebrated her birthday at a cute restaurant in Sequim called Blondie's Plate!  Here is the table centerpiece:
My daughter wanted to spend her birthday week walking the Olympic Discover Trail, so on her birthday I walked 9 miles with her.....I walk but usually not more then about 5 miles a day.....I was kinda impressed that I could go that far and still function the rest of the day.  I don't even have any blisters but as soon as I got back to my hotel room I took a nice long soak in epson salt and lavender essential oils.   Here we are at the start of the walk!
Well I have to tell you now that we were suppose to be celebrating her 40th in Thailand, I had earned the Stampin' UP! trip and that was going to be our special time together....but with Mr. Flying Stamper's health we had to make a new plan and stay close to home.

He was able to make the trip to Sequim with us and participate in the birthday celebrations except the walking part so that we were happy about that!  The recovery is going much slower then we had hoped so I am very glad we made the decision a few months ago to cancel the Thailand trip.

Have a great day and check back tomorrow for more sharing of the birthday celebration!

Daisy Delight Bundle

Monday, July 17, 2017

Today is my baby girl, Mistee's 40th birthday.  I have no idea how she got this old since I am only 39!  LOL!  Anyways I this is her birthday card.....I had another made earlier in the month but I am going with a theme and I had to change up the card to make it fit the theme!

Colors are wisteria wander and whisper white.  The DSP and ribbon are both retired but they are what I had for this color so had to use them!

I'll post most this week what I did we the theme and how we celebrated!

Have a great week!

Christmas in July

Thursday, July 13, 2017

It's never too early to start on your Christmas cards right?  The card above was created by my downline and friend Lynn and is a sneak peak for my ladies attending Sumner Senior Card class tomorrow!  Lynn is teaching the class and her theme is Christmas in July!  How fun, the neat thing about this card too is that is could easily also be a Birthday or Thinking of You card!  Thank you to Lynn for covering this event the past two months while I am caring for my husband.

Have fun to those attending and I plan to be back in September if everything continues.  Mr. Flying Stamper is progressing....still dealing with anemia and shortness of breathe but it's getting better and he is able to do more things and starting to enjoy this fantastic summer weather!

Have a wonderful day, stamp something cute,

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

One of my neighbors had surgery a few weeks ago and I wanted to take her a little treat!  It just so happens her name is Tiffany and I had an Tiffany's bag to upcycle!  My colors are berry burst and whisper white!  I used the new Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating Daisy Punch!  So fun!  I put  homemade muffins in the bag!

The gold button in the center of the daisy is one of the buttons currently on sale in the clearance rack!
 Have a wonderful day!

ICS Blog Hop Introducing the 2017-2019 In Colors

Wednesday, July 5, 2017

Yahoo it's the first Wednesday of the month and that means it's ISC blog hop time!  I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!  Our theme this month is to introduce the 2017-2019 In-Colors to you!  It's always fun to have new colors in the studio to play with and I would have to say this is one thing I really look forward to with each new annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  The in-colors this year are: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide.  My favorite on this day is Berry Burst!

I decided to kill two birds with one stone this month as my stampin' time is very limited right now so for my project I created my daughter's 40th birthday card to use later this month! I am not sure where the last 40 years have gone....but it's true she will be 40 in a couple of weeks and I am very blessed I get to spend the day with her!

My project showcases Fresh Fig and Lemon Line Twist.

Card Recipe:
Stamp Set:  Birthday Blooms
Ink:  Fresh Fig
Cardstock:  Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White and Fresh Florals DSP
Misc:  Lemon Lime Twist 1/2 inch woven ribbon, 2 and 2 1/4 circle punches,  Starburst Punch, Large Numbers Framelits and Garden Trellis Embossing Folder.

Don't forget Bonus Days is going on, for every $50 you spend you get $5 bonus bucks to spend in August.
Thanks for visiting today, now HOP on over to my pal Janey's blog to see her adorable project!
