Just Kidding

Tuesday, June 27, 2017

Hey Everyone, I am so sorry I've been missing for several weeks!  Most of you know that Mr. Flying Stamper had open heart surgery last month and well it's been quite the recovery and has kept me hopping in many ways I never knew even existed.  I've learned so much, and the one thing I want to really share with each of you is take care of your heart, get your checks, if your over 50 get a cardiologist and get a heart check up once a year.  Listen to your body!  Mr. Flying Stamper is doing better but he is still suffering from shortness of breath and that is holding his recovery up.  We have an appointment with a pulmonary Doctor later this week to see if we can get this resolved.

Now on to the card...so I got this card in the mail last week from my pal Diane S....and well it kinda arrived on a day when i was utterly frustrated with our medical system....it was like so perfect...here is the inside of the card, it made me laugh!

The stamp set she used is called Just Kidding (it's retired).  I also love the way she used the washi tape at the bottom of the card.

Okay I am gonna do my best to try and begin making a few posts a week......so see ya later this week hopefully,

Miss you all....sending Inky Hugs,

Label Me Pretty

Friday, June 9, 2017

TGIF Everyone!  Just a quick post to check in and give you a little update.  The recovery for Mr. Flying Stamper has been going slow and not exactly how we planned it!  He was having some trouble getting very winded with little exertion...so last Thursday we went to the Surgeon and discovered he had fluid on a lung, on Friday back to hospital for an out patient procedure to get that taken care of.  They removed 1.4 liters of fluid.  Oh my.....that has helped somewhat with getting winded...he can now walk 5 minutes and not be lightheaded and dizzy!  YEAH!  He is still very anemic and that also makes him very tired. He is not interested in eating....but he has been a trooper about doing it anyways....all I have to whisper is nursing home or feeding tube in his cute little ear and he cleans his plate up!  Mind you he is not eating near what he ate prior to the surgery.  But I am doing my best to make sure it's healthy foods with as much protein as I can possibly get in.

I'd like to take a minute and thank so many of your for your prayers, cards, visits, meals, flowers, ect.....it's been amazing all the things friends and family have done for us during this time. We have been very blessed.  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Please continue to pray for his recovery, we appreciate it very much.

Punch Art Boxes

Sunday, June 4, 2017

My friend Lynn made these adorable boxes for Mr. Flying Stamper and I to pass out to his medical providers last week!  She is so clever with her ideas and use of punches.  The Doctor's and Nurse's just loved them!

So timely we had many medical appointments last week.....follow ups, labs, home health nurse, physical therapy and Friday we landed up at the hospital for a real fun procedure called a Thoracentesis.  That is where a radiologist goes in and removes fluid around a lung, Jess was very winded and having trouble walking very far every since surgery but even more so since coming home.  An x-ray on Thursday revealed he had a lot of fluid around the left lung.  They removed 1.4 liters, 1.5 is the max that can remove.  The after x-ray looked good and he is less winded now so hopefully that is the last of the hospital visits for awhile.

We hope to really get into recovery mode now!  Keep those prayers coming peeps!  Thanks,

Sprinkled With Love May-Paper Pumpkin Kit

Wednesday, May 24, 2017

Happy Birthday to Mr. Flying Stamper today!  I used one of the stamps from the May Paper Pumpkin Stamp set.  Love it! The golf image is a retired stamp set called On The Green!

Now I am sure some of you would like an update on Mr. Flying Stamper, his surgery went well...YEAH.  But his recovery didn't go well...he had some post op bleeding during recovery and they decided to keep him asleep for an extra 24 hours while they got that under control....it was very hard and a scary 24 hours, but things are now improving each day.   The body is amazing AND we have been getting really good care in ICU.

We had hoped to be home for his birthday-since that isn't going to happen I am planning a little "surprise" party with the family in his hospital room instead...luckily we got out of ICU yesterday afternoon and we're now in private room that is larger and has a door we can shut for a little privacy!   Please keep Mr. Flying Stamper (Jesse) in your prayers...pray for strength and for his anemia to improve.

Here is the u-tube for the May kit, please if your receiving this via e-mail click The Flying Stamper to watch the u-tube!
