Fabric Card

Comfort Cafe DSP!

I am sure loving the Comfort Cafe Designer Paper....makes really pretty fall cards like this birthday card which made it's debut at Terri's $10 class earlier this month! Here I've showcased the DSP with Soft Suede and Cajun Craze ink, ribbon and cardstock.  The stamp sets are Petite Pairs and Fabulous Florets.  I embossed the stem by first inking the stamp in versamark and then directly into the Classic Soft Suede ink pad.  Poured clear embossing powder over it then heat it up with the embossing tool.  So pretty!

Introducing Raspberry Ripple

Here is one of the projects that will be completed at the In-Color classes later this week! Man Card!

I have a really hard time with "man cards" for the most part so when I saw my friend Kivonne's post an idea for a swim trunk card I ran with that idea! The trunks are basic grey and I used the new Chevron embossing folder to give them a little texture! You can see Kivonne's swim truck project HERE! Thanks Kivonne for the great idea!

Cute and Simple!

This is one of the cards we'll be making at Terri's upcoming $10 class this week-end. Terri's daughter is having a birthday a little later this month and I thought this would make a super cute birthday card for a child!

I got the idea off Pinterest...which lately seems to be a great source of inspiration.

Pleasant Poppies!

Happy Tuesday! I got an order for some sympathy cards a few weeks ago and have been working on designs for that....the order was for larger cards so that many people could sign them. For some reason large cards are a challenge for me. This one turned out pretty well I thought but it didn't make the cut because it's too heavy to be mailed with one stamp so had to go back to the drawing board! Anyways enjoy! Supplies Used:

Opens Seas Again!

This is one of the projects we did at my volunteer class for MultiCare last week. I try and do one "girly" card and one "guy" card. This was the guy card. I'll post the girly card later this week so check back. We used my favorite Guy stamp set Open Seas. The colors are retired but I did use those cool notecards and envelopes that you can order get a set of 20 for only $5.95. Make card prep super duper easy! What to do with those bits of Ribbon????

Oh my gosh isn't this the cutest owl EVER? Today I went to a Stampin' Up! meeting and Kirstin gave a demonstration and many different ideas using ribbon....which is so timely because my class theme in October is Fun With Ribbon so now I have even MORE ideas to share. Anyways this was one of the cards she shared that is great for using up all those little bits of ribbon we all seem to collect. How clever! The Owl is made with the big shot Top Note die! Adorable! Have a great wkend....looks like today is shaping up quite nicely! I better get off here and go pick some blackberries!

Reason to Smile!

Today's sample features the adorable two-stepping (no not the dance, the technique!) stamp set Reason To Smile. Don't know how to two-step? Ask me it's easy.....yes I do know the dance but I'd rather teach you the stamping two step! Boy am I funny this morning or what? HA! HA!

Convention Time!!

Oh my gosh stampin' friends I am having a blast in Salt Lake with my friend and downline Alice! The weather has been perfect...warm BUT with a breeze! Today we mostly did swapping and spent money at Momento Mall! I got the cutest T-Shirt and a blouse made with the comfort cafe fabric....super cute! I'll be wearing my new dudes at upcoming classes and events.

Today's card was for a special swap with my upline Denise's group! It's a tad on the vintage side wouldn't you say? Hmmmm.....wander how that happened...thanks Terri and Margie for rubbing off on me! I can't say that I am shoe freak....but I fell in love with the Fabulous You stamp set right away when the new catalog came out! And I love love love the new butterfly punch! And those of you attending Cindy's $10 class...well she is a vintage and black and white freak so you'll be making this card at her upcoming class later this month!

Happy Birthday Mistee!

Today is my babies 35th birthday! Wow I can't believe she is 35. Anyways we just got home last night from treating her to one super fun birthday wkend! Bike rides, walks, movies, dinner out, pedicures, several kid breaks, wine tasting made one really fun wkend for all of us! My Mom even was able to go with us! This is a 3 generation photo of Mistee, My Mom Eleanor and me at one of the most beautiful wineries (King Estates) I've ever been to! It's in Eugene, Oregon! The card is one of my swaps for convention.....yippee I leave tomorrow for that and will be posting more then!

More Kindness Shared!

Yes I am loving Primrose Petals and Kindness Shared! This is a card I made for my chemo pen pal. She is having a rough time right now so I've actually been sending a couple cards a week. Chemo Angels is such a great volunteer opportunity.....a great feel good. Want more info check it out HERE. I love that I am able to use my stamping to help brighten someone's day. This fall we'll do another military card raiser for Operation Write Home too...I haven't decided a theme yet but I will announce it soon! Have a great day,

Convention Swaps!

Today I am in Chicago on a layover working away on my convention swaps! I can hardly believe I'll be in Salt Lake next week with about 5000 other crazy Stampin' Up! demonstrators! This is a cool swap that I have participated in before.....you bring 20 completed cards and 20 uncompleted cards....while your at the swap you will complete 20 other cards and you'll trade the other 20 so you come away with 40 new and different cards in the end.

So how do you like the colors of this card? Gumball Green and Primrose Petals are quickly becoming my favorite new in-colors! Loving the new ribbon, my in-color ribbon share will be completed tomorrow for those that participated I will be making the final deliveries and mailings on Thursday! I plan to host 1 more ribbon share later this month for the new stitched grosgrain....details to come after I get back from convention!
