Man Card!

Sunday, September 9, 2012

I have a really hard time with "man cards" for the most part so when I saw my friend Kivonne's post an idea for a swim trunk card I ran with that idea! The trunks are basic grey and I used the new Chevron embossing folder to give them a little texture! You can see Kivonne's swim truck project HERE! Thanks Kivonne for the great idea!

Opens Seas Again!

Monday, August 27, 2012

This is one of the projects we did at my volunteer class for MultiCare last week. I try and do one "girly" card and one "guy" card. This was the guy card. I'll post the girly card later this week so check back. We used my favorite Guy stamp set Open Seas. The colors are retired but I did use those cool notecards and envelopes that you can order get a set of 20 for only $5.95. Make card prep super duper easy! I am loving the new woodgrain embossing folder! Have a wonderful week talk soon,

Happy Birthday Jesse!!!

Thursday, May 24, 2012

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday! He is an avid golfer so I used the retired stamp On The Green for his card! This card also uses Mocha Morning and the Chantiliy Lace Ribbon.....kinda girly things normally but they actually look great on this guy card! Both the DSP and the Chnatiliy Lace are retiring on 5/31....so order some soon so you don't miss out! I can hardly wait to get the new Stampin' Up! stamp pads...they ink up so nice and we won't be seeing things like this where the ink didn't go on evenly! Hope you have a great day.....I have a family dinner this evening so I better get off here and get busy in the kitchen!

Service Project, Thumping Technique, SUO Challenge!

Thursday, October 6, 2011

I am so proud of us....today I am delivering 25 Thanksgiving cards that we created as a Service Project in class last week. These cards will be going to soliders overseas. Thank you to all who participated. And now for the details: We used the thumping technique on the project to get the variation of color in the leaf....you can read more about that HERE.

The card base is 41/4 by 11 cut the "hot dog" way. Then we used the Simply Scored Tool from the Holiday Mini catalog and scored it at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4. Fold the card in half and then fold the other panel back. I am in love with the new Simply Scored tool it makes nice crisp clean folds and is very easy to use! You can see the tool HERE.

Cardstock: Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Always Artichoke
Stamp Set: Autumn Splendor, Teeny Tiny Wishes (Happy Thanksgiving on the inside)
Accessories: Mustard Hemp (retired) and Chocolate Chip Cordury Buttons (from the clearance rack).

This card fit the profile for the SUO Challenge 29: Leaves as well so I entered it HERE. Have a wonderful week and check back tomorrow and the next day and the next day.....I've got a lot to share with you!
