Grandma was a master gardener and each fall she would grow some incredible pumpkins! When I received the card above from Marsha for her I thought immediately of this newspaper article from the fall of 1980 when she had two pumpkins that weighted over 140 pounds each. My Aunt told me it took all three of her sons to roll those pumpkins up from the pumpkin patch to the lawn to shoot the photo! For those of you coming to class next month check out my porch steps I have a few pumpkins from Grandma's patch on it. My brother and sister-in-law have carried on the garden for her!
