World CardMaking Day Is Coming!

Monday, September 29, 2014

I didn't make this card I ran across it on the Stampin' Up! blog last week and just love the simplicity of it....it's so hard for me to make a one layer card and this one just rocks!

World Card Making Day began in 2006 as National Card Making Day. Founded by Paper Crafts magazine to bring card makers together at the beginning of the busiest card-making season of the year, it was first held on October 7, 2006. The initial celebration involved the Paper Crafts magazine audience only; however, due to the positive response it received and the worldwide popularity of card making, the holiday became known as World Card Making Day from then on.

Celebrating its ninth year in 2014, World Card Making Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in October.

So we are going to celebrate and have some fun this week!  Stay tuned to my facebook page Flying Stamper With Deb Naylor as well as this blog!

Also Stampin' Up! is going to be running a World Card Promotion from 10/1 to 10/6.....inks, papers, envelopes and adhesives will be on sale as well as some select stamp sets.  I will post to the blog what is on sale as soon as I can on 10/1.  Bear with me I am flying that day so it most likely will NOT be early in the day.

The first thing I would like to announce is all orders placed ONLINE between 10/1 and 10/6 on my website will receive a thank you card from me and a free gift!  FREE gifts are always fun huh?   Please add at the end of your cart HOSTESS CODE:  XE3PSG9U

Check back tomorrow to see what the weekly deals are  and then check back again on WED to see what the World Card making specials are!  It's a good week to place an ONLINE ORDER...discounts and free gifts are awesome!

Take some time this Card Making Day and create something heartfelt from scratch, and show the recipient that you’ve really thought about them.  There will be a drawing on my facebook page on Saturday....I'll announce more details on that later this week...just know you do have to stamp something that day to particiapte!
