Tomorrow is one of my dear flying friends 70th birthday and I wanted to share my gift, gift packaging and card with you all! I had so much fun creating this for her! She doesn't stamp so I know she'll really appreciate it!
So the December Paper Pumpkin kit was a 18 month calendar which was really cute but we did calendars in my monthly class so I already had a calendar for 2019. So the I used the components of the kit to make an easel 12 month calendar, card and gift bag. I even recycled the blue tissue paper the kits come in to the top of her gift bag!
The measurements for the easel are 4 1/14 by 11. Score at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2 then fold back and use a punch out or embellishment for the the prop. There is a 4 1/14 and 5 1/2 card that you attach your images and embellishments too, just glue the bottom part of that to the fold on the main piece. This is called an easel card or calendar so google it if you want to see a u-tube! I had a gold clip that coordinated with the lettering on the calendar and I used a gold foil punch out on the punch out prop to tie it all together. The background and sentiment stamps are all from the Dec Paper Pumpkin Kit called Day By Day! So cute!
The kit included a cute gift box and that makes it easy and cute for her to store the extra pages!
Now on to the card and packaging of the gift! The strips behind the 70 are the leftover negatives from the white sticker strips used on the top of each calendar page and I used one of the extra calendar pages as the whisper white layer.
More negatives and another calendar page for the background on the tag!
This was a really fun alternate for me and the entire project maybe took 2 hours! Have a really great day, if you want to learn more about the December paper pumpkin kit CLICK HERE for my previous post.
