Paper Pumpkin Possibilites Blog Hop On My Mind

Tuesday, July 30, 2019

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop! We are all fans of this monthly crafting kit and want to share with you our enthusiasm for this box of fun and creativity. The beauty of the Paper Pumpkin kit is that you can follow the directions provided in the kit to make the projects as they were designed, or use the supplies as a starting point and let your creativity run wild. On this hop we will be sharing lots of ideas with you on how to use the July Paper Pumpkin kit: On My Mind.

One of the things I do right away with my kit when it arrives is punch out any pieces and then I set the negatives aside later to see if I can repurpose them on a project.  As soon as I saw the twig negative I knew it would be useful!  I also loved how this months kit could be used for Male or Female cards.  My grandson made a birthday card for his Dad and his Mom using this kit.  If you haven't viewed the video yet for the July kit here it is (if your receiving this post via email you will need to click on The Flying Stamper at the top of the post to watch it)
My alternate project this month is so simple.  I simply added the twig negative to a note card and then punched with the classic label a sentiment from the itty bitty greetings stamp set.  My ink color is Mossy Meadow.   I also used one of the twig branches from the kit to add a little more texture and make the sentiment pop a bit.

The August kit is going to be a really fun one consisting of gift bags and tags, with the option of purchasing an add-on to make notecards from the tags!  If you want to know more about the August kit CLICK HERE for a recent post!

Thank you for sharing your process. I can see how this would help to "see" the potential of all the pieces in the kit. Great use of the negative piece on your card.
