Woven Heirlooms Tribute To Michelle

Hi Stampers!  Happy Sunday!  My card today was created by a friend, I love black and white cards, thanks Val Pal! She used the stamp set Woven Heirlooms to create the card, it's a one layer card too which I find very challenging.

 

Sorry I've been missing for a bit, many of you know that I was away a lot in July and August helping my sister in her battle with cancer.  Sadly Jesus picked her up on Fri 9/4 around 2:00pm, they drove straight to Heaven.  I know he picked her up because she told me in early March Deb don't worry I had a dream last night Jesus and I were driving in a car he has the wheel everything is going to be fine.   While I am happy she is no longer suffering I am very sad too.  My niece (her daughter) recently said I wish there was FaceTime in heaven......and wow that hit home our thing was texting and I miss our early morning texts so much.  Because of the time change between us I would often wake up to a text from her.....I really miss them.

 

My sister was the strongest women in my life a CrossFitter (Ranked 3rd in the World in 2015 CrossFit games), a true women of God, barrel racer, gardener, health nut, generous always, author, great wife/mom/nana/sister/daughter/aunt/cousin and friend to many.  We were roommates when we were little girls and we planned to be roommates at the end of life in a nursing home!  I feel so blessed that I was able to spend a lot of time with her this past summer and help with her cancer battle and then end of life care.  I learned so many things some good, some bad....but I'll never forget all the good times we shared over the past 61 years.

My family is very blessed my Dad was great at taking photos so we have many documented memories of growing up as well as we all like to take photos now too!  Lots of sharing has been going on since she went to Heaven so that helps some with the pain of losing her.
