So Cool Paper Pumpkin Story

This is one of the cards from the April paper pumpkin kit as designed, I don't have very many "littles" in my life right now so I did alternates with the majority of my kit but I did make one of each as designed and knew at some point I would use them.  Well this one went out last week.  I was taking my daily walk and a little gal that lives at the end of my street who always says "hi" and talks to me was out.  I said hi and asked if she was enjoying the sunny day and she said "today is my birthday!"  I replied oh my happy birthday how old are you?  "6 and she held up her fingers for me to see!"  I said well are you having party or what are you doing to celebrate she said "i really don't know my parents are in there planning a surprise for me."  I wished her a happy birthday again and said good bye.  As I headed home I thought you know what I am going home and getting that rainbow card and bringing it back to her but then I realized I didn't know her name!  LOL!  So I walked back and asked her that and had her tell me the correct spelling!  I got home signed the card and walked it back to her...she was still playing outside on her scooter and I got the biggest toothless smile from her when I gave her the card!  What a feel good right?
Do you look for little opportunities like this to spread some joy around?  I hope so we could all use some little surprises like this now and then!  The paper pumpkin has certainly come in handy many times for these types of situations.  My sister told me a few days ago we should all have a little card kit in our glove box.  She is right.....I am making that a goal how about you?  I'll upcycle a paper pumpkin box and fill it with a variety of cards......and I'll start looking for more opportunities!
